Terms of Service

About Foxglove & Finch

Foxglove & Finch is a mother and daughter floral studio based in East Harling. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Foxglove & Finch.

These terms explain how we sell flowers through our online shop. Please read them alongside our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, Privacy Policy and Contact Information.

You can contact us at info@foxgloveandfinch.co.uk. Our business postal address and telephone number are listed in our Contact Information policy.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Our flowers

Each bouquet and arrangement is made individually. Flowers are natural, seasonal products, so their shape, colour and stage of opening may vary. Product photographs illustrate the overall design, style and size described on the product page.

Occasionally, a particular flower may be unavailable or unsuitable in quality. We may substitute a flower of equivalent or greater value while preserving the overall style and colour palette. If a significant change is necessary, we will contact you to discuss it before proceeding.

If a particular flower or detail is essential to your order, please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm whether we can provide it.

Our flowers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose we have agreed with you, and as described.

Placing an order

Please check your bouquet selection, delivery address, contact details, gift-card message and delivery date before completing checkout.

You must provide accurate information and be authorised to use your chosen payment method. Gift-card messages will be reproduced using the wording you supply.

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products. We will email you to acknowledge receipt. Your order is accepted when we confirm that we can fulfil it; an automated acknowledgement alone is not acceptance.

If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you promptly. Any payment taken for an order we cannot accept will be refunded.

If you notice an error after ordering, please contact us as soon as possible.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes. Delivery charges are shown separately before you complete your purchase.

The total displayed at checkout is the amount you agree to pay. Changes to our prices do not alter an order we have already accepted.

If we discover a pricing or description error affecting your order, we will explain it and ask whether you wish to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel for a refund. We will not charge an additional amount without your agreement.

Local delivery

We hand-deliver from our East Harling studio.

  • Delivery within five miles costs £4.50.

  • Delivery over five miles and up to ten miles costs £6.50.

Eligibility and the available charge are displayed at checkout after you enter the delivery address.

Online orders require at least two days’ notice. Select one delivery date in your basket. For an accepted local delivery order, this is the agreed delivery date. A particular delivery time is only agreed if we confirm it separately.

Same-day requests must be discussed with us before ordering and are subject to availability and our confirmation.

Please provide a complete, accurate address and useful delivery instructions. If delivery cannot be completed, we will contact you to discuss the next steps. Any proposed additional charge will be explained and agreed before it is incurred.

Nationwide shipping

Nationwide shipping costs £15 and is available for orders of £50 or more.

If your flowers are needed for a specific occasion, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm courier availability and the delivery arrangements. Selecting a date does not, by itself, establish a courier guarantee; any delivery commitment will be explained before we accept your order.

We remain responsible for your order while it is being transported by a courier we arrange, until it comes into your possession or that of a person you nominate to receive it.

If a delivery problem arises, contact us directly so we can help. Where we cannot meet an agreed delivery arrangement, we will explain your options, including any cancellation or refund rights that apply.

Changes, cancellation and refunds

Fresh flowers are perishable and are exempt from the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for online purchases.

If you need to change or cancel an order before delivery, contact us as soon as possible. We will confirm whether we can accommodate your request, taking into account whether preparation or dispatch has begun. Please do not assume a change or cancellation has been made until we confirm it.

If your flowers arrive damaged, faulty or not as described, contact info@foxgloveandfinch.co.uk promptly with your order number, details of the issue and, where possible, photographs.

We will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your legal rights. Our Returns and Refunds Policy explains the process. Reduced-price flowers have the same statutory protections as full-price flowers.

Weddings, funerals and events

Submitting an enquiry does not reserve a date or confirm a booking.

We will discuss your requirements and provide a quotation where appropriate. Before you commit to a booking, we will explain the agreed designs, price, payment arrangements, delivery or installation requirements, and any cancellation or postponement terms.

Any separate booking terms will be supplied for you to review before agreeing to them. An enquiry alone does not create an obligation to pay.

Flower care

Please follow the care instructions supplied with your flowers. Their natural lifespan depends on the varieties used, their environment and how they are cared for.

Care guidance does not affect your rights if the flowers were faulty, damaged or not as described when supplied.

Privacy and website use

We use personal information to process orders, arrange deliveries and respond to enquiries, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our shop is hosted by Shopify. Your purchase contract is with Foxglove & Finch; Shopify provides the platform and is not the seller of your flowers.

Please use the website lawfully. Do not misuse customer information, submit fraudulent orders or interfere with the website’s security.

Our photographs, designs, branding and written content belong to us or their respective owners. Please obtain permission before reproducing them for commercial purposes.

Our responsibilities

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

If circumstances outside our reasonable control affect your order, we will contact you promptly and explain the available options. This does not remove your statutory rights.

Changes to these terms and governing law

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms in place when we accept your order will apply to that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of mandatory consumer laws and your right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
